Austin Believe
Who are you? I’m Austin Believe
What do you do? I make Hip Hop music.
When did you start? I started writing lyrics when I was 12. I recorded my first song and performed for the very first time when I was 16 in 2011 at Sokol Underground in Omaha, NE.
Where are you from? I was born in Des Moines, IA. but moved to Omaha, NE. when I was 6 years old and grew up here.
How did you begin this journey? I’ve been a big fan of Rap/Hip Hop music my whole life and was inspired by my favorite artists and always had dreams of making music and performing in front of crowds and one day decided to make it happen and chase my dreams! 💪
What motivates you to keep going? The love of music motivates and keeps me going. I don’t ever see myself quitting, I have fun and love the process and outcome of everything involving music. 🎶
What is your favorite memory as an artist? There have been so many memories but I think my favorite one was being able to perform in Des Moines, IA. for family and friends that hadn’t had the chance to see me perform as most of my shows before that were here in Omaha.
What was your favorite project? My favorite project was my first EP “L.I.E.S. (Look Into Every Soul)” it was the first time that I saw a lot of progression and growth in my music. It was also my first project that was on major streaming platforms. Before that project I was just releasing mixtapes, so it was a really good feeling taking it to the next level and also recording a couple music videos for the first time for songs from that project was a dope feeling as well.
Where do you want to be in 5 years? In 5 years I want to own a business whether it involves music or not, but if it does that would be dope!
Who has been an inspiring artist? My top 5 artists that have inspired me over the years are 50 Cent, Tupac, Ice Cube, Nipsey Hussle, & Eminem. My favorite album of all time is 50 Cent: Get Rich or Die Tryin’ 🔥
Tell us about your Art. My art always comes from the heart. I put my all into everything that I do and it relates to things that I’ve gone through over the years.
