CORRECTION: No Chili Supper or parade at Dec. 13 Open House

Unwrap the Magic of Christmas,’ the annual town-wide holiday festival for Bellevue, will now take place on Saturday, Dec. 13.

The Bellevue Area Chamber of Commerce, which is coordinating events and activities, said that the Craft and Vendor Show at Marquette will take place, but the Bellevue Fire Department's Chili Supper or Lighted Parade will not be held.

The original information about the rescheduled events that included the chili supper and parade was printed in error and the Bellevue Herald-Leader regrets the mistake.

(The Magic of Christmas event was re-scheduled from Nov. 29 after being cancelled as a result of the major snowstorm last weekend. Look for more information on the event in the Dec. 11 Bellevue Herald-Leader).

Due to the incoming winter storm and after much discussion the Bellevue Area Chamber of Commerce has made the difficult decision to 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐰𝐫𝐚𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 events scheduled for Saturday.

This includes:
❄️ 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 & 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰
❄️ 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫
❄️ 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 & 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬

This decision did not come lightly. We know how much time, planning, and excitement goes into this event each year, but the safety of our vendors, families, volunteers, and community must come first.

Due to the expected snow storm this weekend we have with regrets canceled the chili supper on Saturday Nov.29th for everyone's safety.
We are working on details to reschedule this event.
