The Eastside’s iconic and influential Bellevue Collection soon could have a new owner. The Kemper Freeman family, which owns the property through the Kemper Development Co., announced on Friday that it has begun exploring a potential sale. The family said it is in the early stages of the process and plans to select a broker soon.

The Edmonds-based travel guide, writer, and philanthropist Rick Steves announced earlier this week that he had purchased the Edmonds Theater.

Steves said he bought the beloved venue to ensure it would 'grace Main Street here in our town well into the future.'

Alaska Airlines has announced that new nonstop service from Seattle to Athens and Paris will be available starting next spring.

Rowan, a mom-founded ear-piercing company, is opening a studio at Lynnwood's Alderwood Mall on Aug. 15. The location is Rowan’s second studio in Washington — the other is in Bellevue — and is part of the company’s growing network of more than 100 U.S. locations.

At Rowan, all piercing technicians are licensed nurses, and every piercing is treated as a medical procedure.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport announced last week that Delta Air Lines plans to offer new nonstop flights in March between Tokyo-Narita and SEA. The daily service will add to Delta’s current service to Tokyo-Haneda, providing another option for business and leisure travelers, according to a news release from the Port of Seattle, which operates SEA.
