I’m Brendan Silk, a freelance audio recording engineer and music producer based in Bellingham, WA. I offer affordable, high quality audio recording, audio pre-production, and audio post-production to artists in Bellingham and the greater Seattle area. Here's a neat, comprehensive but concise guide to different compression styles. Recommended for folks with an intermediate to advanced level of familiarity with software or hardware compression and the topology of different types. Only thing I'd add: optos don't necessarily pump if they have a HPF built in, as most LA-2A incarnations do (the Summit TLA-100 as well, for example). 🤓 🤘
