SANTA LIGHTS THE TREE TONIGHT!!! Downtown Concord in front of the State House. Concord FD brings St. Nick in to greet the crowd and do the "Magic Tree Countdown". 🎄 Activities begin at 4p. Santa arrives around 6:30pm.
Fireworks at 7pm 🥳🤩

The 40th Concord Christmas Tree Lighting is Friday, November 28 from 4-7 p.m. Please note the following street closures from 3-7 p.m.: Main Street, from Loudon Road intersection to School Street; North State Street, from Park Street to Capitol Street; Park Street from Main Street to North State Street; and Capitol Street from Main Street to North State Street.

Join us in downtown Bristol for the Annual Tree Lighting in Central Square! on Friday, November 28th at 5:30 PM!

• Santa will arrive by firetruck at 6 PM to light the tree! Thank you Bristol NH Fire Department!

We’ve kicked off the 20th Annual Hawk Holiday Food Drive with Hannaford Supermarkets in Bristol, Franklin, Plymouth, Ossipee, New London, Alton, Gilford and North Conway!
All donations made will go to the Supermarkets local pantries. You can help people in our community in two different ways. Purchase a $5 or $10 donation card or participate in “You Buy, We Give” on Hannaford brand canned Vegetables, canned Tomatoes, 4-Pack Fruit Bowls and Shredded Wheat Cereals. You’ll be able to make donations right through December 31st.
The Hawk’s Holiday Food Drive is sponsored by Granite State Credit Union, celebrating 80 years of supporting New Hampshire communities. Join them at GSCU.ORG and stop by your local Hannaford Supermarket to help us fight hunger with The Hawk’s 20th Annual Holiday Food Drive.

Today on Native American Heritage Day we honor and celebrate the diverse and rich culture, traditions, and contributions of the indigenous people in the Granite State.
Here are a few rock n rollers who have indigenous ancestors: Jimi Hendrix, Mark Farner, Ronnie Radke, Jesse Edwin Davis, Rand Castillo, Joey Belladonna, and Anthony Kiedis.

With November of 1967 being significantly cold here in the Granite State many of us found warmth in listening to Arlo Guthrie's newly released “Alice’s Restaurant." This launched a Thanksgiving radio tradition that has been lasting over half a century. The Thanksgiving themed 18+ minute song is beloved by classic rock fans who continue to search for it on Thanksgiving.
We’ll be continuing our HawksGiving Tradition of playing “Alice’s Restaurant” in its entirety today at 10a, 1p and 5p right here on 104.9 The Hawk.

Jimi Hendrix (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) remains one of the most groundbreaking and influential guitarists in music history.

Born in Seattle, he revolutionized the electric guitar with his explosive creativity, feedback mastery, and visionary blend of blues, rock, soul, and psychedelia.
His meteoric rise began in London, where he formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience and stunned audiences with performances that redefined what the instrument could do.
Albums like Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold as Love, and Electric Ladyland changed rock forever, while his legendary Woodstock performance remains one of the most iconic moments in music.

Though his life was tragically short, Hendrix’s impact continues to shape generations of musicians worldwide.
