MEET MALIK SHAKUR
Committed to Prince George's County
Malik Shakur has been a lawyer for more than 20 years. He spent time working at the Justice Department and as a public defender before starting his own private practice right here in Prince George’s County.

But Malik’s courtroom experience isn’t limited to his time as a lawyer. As a teenager, he spent time in the juvenile court system where he often wished he was anyone in the room that wasn’t the defendant including the judge, the prosecutor or the bailiff.

Because of his varied experiences in the courtroom, Malik brings a unique perspective to judgeship. He looks to ensure that everyone that comes before him on the bench will be treated equally, fairly and with dignity.

Malik grew up in New Jersey, but came to the Washington, D.C. area to attend Howard University. He graduated magna cm laude and later enrolled in George Washington University Law School. He moved to Prince George’s County in 2004, where he lives with his wife and 3 children. Their eldest daughter lives in New Jersey.

MISSING SPARTANBURG COUNTY MAN MISSING, WOMAN ARRESTED IN CASE

🚩28 year old DeVante "NuNu" Griffin. Missing since March 28th!! Approx height 6ft weight 165lbs. Missing under suspicious circumstances!!! His family is very concerned. Please share!!!

Statement from Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office:

♦️On March 30, 2022 the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office took a missing person report on an adult male named Mr. Devantae Griffin. The following is a timeline of the investigation into this case to date:

▪️Devantae Griffin was reported missing by his mother on March 30, 2022.

▪️Devantae Griffin was last seen leaving 399 Winsmith Ave, Spartanburg, SC shortly after midnight with Jessica Strachan on March 29, 2022

▪️On March 31, 2022 Investigators spoke with Jessica Strachan who is the on and off girlfriend of Devantae Griffin.

▪️During the course of the investigation it was determined Jessica Strachan was misleading in the information she had provided during her initial interview. She became a person of interest in the disappearance of Devantae Griffin.

▪️On March 31, 2022 Investigators asked Jessica to come meet with them at Sheriff’s office for a second interview. After this request Jessica went to Florida without notifying the investigators.

▪️On March 31, 2022 investigators conducted a search warrant at Jessica Strachan’s residence.

▪️On April 1, 2022 an arrest warrant for Obstruction of Justice was issued for Jessica Strachan.

▪️On April 1, 2022 Jessica Strachan was arrested by the Miami, Florida Police Department for the warrant issued in Spartanburg County.
