Hard to believe another musky opener has come and gone!!
The older a person gets the more they realize that it’s not about how many fish you catch it’s about the people you share it with!! A person never knows how many openers they have left and man would it be a shame spending one of them dwelling on the fishing being tough instead of enjoying and taking it all in!!
It was a grinder just the way Muskie fishing was meant to be! Had some opportunities on Saturday but overall hot and slow. We kept grinding yesterday and with a little luck the weather switched from hot and sunny to overcast, the wind picked up and the loons started going crazy! Ashley and I looked at each other and said it’s game on!! A few hours later we had four bites and saw 8 fish! A couple sick topwater eats on a pacemaker, an awesome figure 8 fish on a 8/9 and a couple other close calls!
