As some of you may know, my family and I have been traveling in the Philippines since July 29 and we come back to the states August 31st. We have been spending time with Michele’s family in Cebu and doing little mini trips away during the week this is our mini trip this week. Southern Layte, Burgos Reef.

Happy Microphone Monday everyone!

This Monday we chose to highlight our “reactor” large diaphragm multi-pattern condenser from Blue microphones.

This microphone is a very unique microphone from its look to its sound. It really excels in male vocals, and acoustic stringed instrumentss. The pattern control is selected by turning the magnifying glass dial in the side and the LED behind the pattern glows blue when it’s selected as well as magnifying the image.

Sunday we had Mosi from Foxby in the studio touching up some guitar parts for their album. My son decided to join us and I had him hitting the record, play, and stop buttons for us. It was fun to see his eyes light up when he got to push buttons on papa’s desk. It’s great to see clients embrace my children being a part of their projects. How many 4 going on 5 year olds get to hang out in the studio with musicians, see and hear how music is made?
