Is .burger the best burger in Bend?

Tough question in a city with serious opinions, but ask anyone where to go, and you keep hearing the same name. Americana.

Last week the craving hit, and there was exactly one logical answer. Americana at

I went with the Popper: a double smash patty with pickled jalapeños, jalapeño cream cheese, white American cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, ranch, secret sauce, shredded lettuce, and fresh tomato — all on a brioche bun. It’s the kind of burger that’s so dialed in, so well-balanced between heat, fat, and acid, that you’re mentally planning your return before you’ve finished the first one.

What makes Americana even harder to argue with is the price. At $11 for something this good, it’s not just one of the best burgers in Bend, it’s one of the best values, full stop.

They’re running two locations: the food cart at Podski, and a downtown brick-and-mortar next to Ken’s Artisan Pizza. The menu is tight and focused, which is exactly how it should be when you’re doing something this well.

We stopped by on Redmonds North Side to try a popular food truck and it didn’t disappoint.

The quesabirria taco was delicious, and exactly what you are looking for when ordering quesabirria tacoa, and those nachos. This was only the half order and I want to go back for more.

Dry Canyon club has some of the best food trucks in Redmond, a large beer selection with beers to go, and an atmosphere that invites you to stay.

Last week we were craving good Thai food, and there’s one really good cart at a pod where all the action happens. .bend at is the place to go for great Thai food, and an atmosphere that has vibrations for days.

This dish was a special noodle dish that was unbelievably good. Rich sauce, thick noodles, steak, and crispy bits. We could eat this every day.

It was so good, everyone around us had to have one. And paired with a $4 you can’t beat The Podski and Thailandia

Chicken Satay from Indo Daddy is pure comfort in every bite.

Marinated chicken drizzled in their rich, house-made peanut sauce, served with fragrant turmeric coconut rice and a fresh peanut slaw that brings the perfect crunch and balance. The creamy, savory sauce over the grilled chicken paired with the warm spiced rice makes this one of those dishes that instantly hits the comfort-food spot.

Shred Town Now in Prineville!

Wild Ride Brewing in Prineville just added a new food cart—Shred Town! They’re also set up at Wild Ride in Redmond, and this spot is truly homegrown. Their menu is packed with unique and interesting flavors, but we had to try their pulled pork. It was delicious—super tender, just the right amount of BBQ, topped with slaw, and those fries? Honestly some of the best we’ve had.

If you’re in Prineville or Redmond, make sure to check out Shred Town. You won’t be disappointed.
