Today's "Thursday's Dog" comes to us from Humane Society of Central Oregon. Meet our wonderful old man, Earl! This handsome chap came to HSCO at the end of March and was adopted for a short period of time. Unfortunately, he is finding himself back at the shelter because he was not compatible with the adopter's cats. He's adjusted quickly to his new routine and loves spending time with everyone he meets. He sits like a very good boy and waits patiently for his snacks. They are his favorite thing in the whole world! Don't let this senior boy fool you, he has plenty of energy to get out and loves spending time in the yard with volunteers and staff. He loves to sniff around and get belly rubs from friends! Earl has learned some leash skills during his stay and is eager to impress his new family. If this gentleman seems like the perfect dog for you, come on in and meet Earl today!

HSCO has received a huge number of dogs and could use donations, foster homes, and volunteers to help out.

This week's "Thursday's Dog" comes to us from The Rawley Project. Meet Valentino—or “Tino” to his friends! This adorable 9 year old Italian Greyhound (about 14 lbs) has had quite a journey. Originally from Mexico City, he lost his first home when his family’s building collapsed in the earthquake 7–8 years ago. He was then adopted into a loving home, where he happily lived with his sister, Cubana. Sadly, she recently passed away at 13, leaving Tino without a companion. Tino is affectionate, friendly, and wonderfully easygoing. He gets along well with both dogs and cats, enjoys walks, and is just as happy to curl up in your lap. Tino still has a lot of s***k and is looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love and companionship. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal little dog who just wants to love and be loved, Valentino is ready to steal your heart.

Opening Ceremony at 8:30 am

Providing an opportunity for kids ages 5 - 14 to experience friendly rodeo competition in a family atmosphere, while contributing to community non-profit organizations.
Kids 5-14 are able to compete in their age division (5, 6-8 PeeWee, 9-11 Junior, 12-14 Senior) for belt buckles in each event. Participants also strive to win the All-Around Saddle. Events are Sheep Riding (PeeWee’s), Barrel Racing, Keyhole, Horseless Roping, Calf Riding, Breakaway Roping, Cow Riding (14 yrs), Goat Decorating (PeeWee’s) and the Chicken Rabbit Scramble (5 yrs and under).
