A lengthy post so beware and we encourage you to read to the end.
First a bit of context this post is being written by Matt the Head Pixel Pusher of Hand in Hand Productions. I want everyone to know that these are my words, but behind this is a lot of the team.
Everyday at Hand in Hand we are so blessed to be in service of our amazing clients. We are thankful for you our clients. Alas in this fractured age, we unfortunately forget to be thankful for the little things in our own lives. I am struck over the last year at how much life passes and we forget to do one thing which is be thankful. Take a moment right now to pause, reflect, and be thankful. For some of us, it may be family. For some, it may be a cherished friend or loved one. For others, it may be the simple act of being able to get out of bed. What are you thankful for?
I would encourage each of you to reflect on that moment to realize we need this moment of peace. Let me be real and vulnerable. I struggle with this peace. I struggle to be thankful because for me it may mean that I will lose precious time to do something else. The reality is the basis of life should be in these moments of our blessings. Nothing should matter more than gratitude and being thankful, yet we struggle to pause. We struggle to make sure we are thankful for something. Speaking from my own experience this act of becoming still can be a bit uncomfortable. It is not easy to actually stop and just be. Yet in these moments the importance of turning this anxious energy into gratitude helps lift us up.
In addition to the nature of the uncomfortable silence, we also live in a very chaotic world in which there is a desire to choose sides. Through this side choosing we rush to judgment and forget to be thankful for the small things in our lives that matter more than that side choosing. The chaos of the world quickly drowns out the simple acts of a different choice. A choice to be thankful. A choice to act with this thankful energy and do a simple act with that spirit and act in kindness. Choose the joy of thankfulness.
So again what are you thankful for?
On behalf of myself and all of us ant Hand in Hand Productions we wish you a thankful holiday season.
