Dash Cameras help you to capture interesting moments. I caught this accident on video. When I am car camping, I sometimes attach the camera to an external battery just in case something interesting happens. :-)

A few words of encouragement: No matter how you decide to car camp and see the USA, there will ALWAYS be NEGATIVE NELLIES to point out your flaws. They project their own insecurities onto others. Don't let them denegrate your own self-worth.

AVOID THE NEGATIVE NELLIES!!!!

Last night, I car camped near an area of the Deschutes Forest in my Hondaminium. I awoke to beautiful scenery, had coffee, then made Bow Tie Pasta with Hamburger Meat, my own Seasoning Recipe, Hunts Sauce, Parmissian Cheese, and a grilled Zuccini for extra flavor. YuM!

There is a burn ban in the area due to windy high heat and low humidity. Propane stoves are allowed and completely legal. I also kept a water source and a fire extinguisher at the ready.

Car Camping in Bend, Oregon in my Hondaminium.
I started the day after a great night's sleep at Phil's Trailhead, then off to the Deschutes River to float with other Bendites, next I walked the town following the Deschutes River Trail, followed up by watching Surfers surf the surf waves. Bend has it going on!

Bend, Oregon for July 4.
Hondaminium Car Camping at Phil's Trailhead, floating (with 10 million Bendites) on the Deschutes River where I spent 90 minutes pushing people back into the whitewater, then walked along the Mill area and watched the surfers. Love Bend....great town!
