There’s a Taco Tuesday in Bend that deserves some attention.
Coyote is probably better known for dancing, live music and bull riding, but set the nightlife aside for a minute. The food here is worth a look, and Taco Tuesday is no exception.
The deal gets you three tacos and a b**r, with five different taco choices: chicken, steak, pork, shrimp and birria.
We tried our way through the lineup, and these aren’t small, throwaway happy hour tacos. The portions are generous, and each taco is prepared differently to actually highlight the protein. Different sauces, toppings and textures make each one feel like its own taco rather than five variations of the same thing.
And while we were there, I had to try the espresso martini. It was good, with a chocolatey undertone that gave it a little something different and fit surprisingly well with the food.
If you only think of Coyote as a late-night spot, Taco Tuesday might change your mind.
