Please keep our local charities in mind as winter approaches. On a recent visit to COVO (Veterans Outreach across from Fred Meyer Bend) they commented that they are always in need of CANNED MEAT such as spam, meat ravioli etc. As your out shopping, remember these charities. We have several VETS in our community that would never hold a sign on the street or ask for help, but may go to COVO for assistance. Let's provide them with foods they enjoy and are a treat to them. Thanks!

Time for some Spring Cleaning in Central Oregon!

Take the 30 day challenge to clear up clutter in your home. The rules are simple. If you don't like it or use it regularly (within the past year) than get rid of it. We have many worthy local charities and events that would love your donations so you don't have any excuses! Some even offer free PICK UP's.

Here are some truths about our precious stuff......

1. If all you notice is the dust that is collecting on your wall art, trinkets, silk plants, things in the garage or various other places in your home, than you probably don't even like those things any longer or have to much to take care of.

2. If you avoid having guests over or they avoid coming over because you have too much stuff or breakables (for grandchildren), it's time for it to go.

3. Our kids just aren't interested in Aunt Mary's gravy boat. They don't want it, won't use it and really don't want to deal with it. Should they have to?

4. Many things we thought we would create, use or fix don't get completed. Maybe your interests have changed or you can't find the time. It's time to Move ON, somebody else may complete them. They are taking up valuable real estate in your home.

5. If you keep buying the same things to replace something you've misplaced, THAN YOU HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF to organize.

Start to simplify your life and belongings. It doesn't mean giving up. Find value in the PEOPLE not objects that are around you. It will bring more joy than the crystal stemware you haven't used for 10 years.
