Breaking: An 18-year-old Bend man was shot Wednesday evening in the parking lot of the eastside Safeway on Highway 20. Police say it appears to be an isolated incident. The victim was taken to St. Charles Bend; officers remain on scene investigating.

Bend Police are currently investigating an assault in the parking lot of Safeway East. There is no known threat to the general public at this time. An investigation will continue for an extended period of time and community members are asked to avoid the area.
