It’s been over a month since the WIPA Philadelphia Gala, and I’ve been meaning to put this into words…

That night stuck with me.

Not because of the production or how everything looked, although it was incredible, but because of the people in that room.

I was up there on stage, dealing with a few technical hiccups, trying to serve my role… and at the same time just feeling the energy of the room.

And it was overwhelming in the best way.

Watching people get recognized, seeing the emotion behind it…you could feel the years of work, the sacrifices, everything that goes into what we do.

If you would’ve told me I’d be up there getting emotional handing out awards, I wouldn’t have believed you.

But that’s what that room does. That’s what these people do.

People weren’t clapping just to clap, they were genuinely happy for each other.

And that’s why WIPA.

When people ask me what it’s about, I tell them it’s not just networking or education.

It’s a group of people who actually want to see each other win.
Who show up.
Who step in when things get hard.

On the original day, we had a tornado warning…had to move the entire gala to the next day, shifted everything across vendors and teams and still delivered something special.

That doesn’t happen without people who care.

And for me, this one hit differently.

We were days away from welcoming our daughter into this world. She arrived April 2nd, and since then, everything has shifted in the best way.

It makes you think about what matters, the work you do, the people you’re around, the example you’re setting.

And it made me even more grateful…for my wife, my family, and the clients who trust us.

It also brought things full circle.

Tomorrow we host our Mastermind, led by Shannon Wellington.

Years ago, I was in a room she was a part of when I was still figuring things out with my business. That experience changed how I saw this industry and what was possible.

That’s what rooms like this can do, but only if you’re willing to step into them.

That’s what WIPA has been for me.

And that’s why I stand behind it.

There’s something powerful about being in a room full of people who just get it. The late nights, the pressure to make something real, the weight we carry when we care this much. The kind of people who chase excellence not for applause, but because it’s just who they are.

That’s what the WIPA Philadelphia Mastermind felt like.

A room full of insanely talented wedding pros, not competing, just showing up fully. Sharing, learning, and genuinely pouring into each other. Just people who love what they do and want to see others win too.

As a videographer, I’m usually behind the scenes, watching stories unfold from the outside. But this space made it easy to lean in. Real conversations about the craft, the industry, the vision, and what it actually takes to keep growing.

I left feeling inspired. Supported. Grateful. For the stories shared, the energy in the room, getting to speak, and the reminder that we’re all building something bigger than ourselves.

More spaces like this. More honest dialogue. More reminders that we’re not in this alone.

Thank you for creating a space that felt like exactly what we needed.

January 7th. My wife scrolls through WIPA’s Instagram, eyes lighting up “Babe, these Gala details look wiiiiild!” She reads about the sacred vs. sinister theme, “Whispers in the Vieux Carré,” from the legendary mind of .

“Are you excited? Nervous?”
I exhaled, staring ahead, a smile creeping in. “I’ve literally been praying for this.”

Fast forward 21 days after I filmed the Gala, edited and delivered a preview and teaser in 5 days under all the pressure; I’m sitting here reflecting in disbelief, “You did it. I’m proud of you”

I can also finally reflect on the recognition as I was given the ‘Rising Star’ Award mid-filming.

But this isn’t just recognition for me alone. It also belongs to my wife, my family, my team, and friends along the way who believed in me.

For me, “Whispers in the Vieux Carré” feels like a full circle moment. Years ago, a Steven Spielberg quote heavily impacted my mindset and journey…

“Dreams always come from behind you…they whisper, they never shout. If it tickles your heart, and you think you want to do it for the rest of your life…then that’s what you do.”

For years, I ignored the whisper. I had a thriving fitness career, changing lives daily, yet filmmaking pulled at me. I felt guilty, torn, lost. Until I finally listened.

Letting go was painful. But leaning into telling stories through my camera, into the unknown of what was ahead, set off a chain of wild events I can only connect looking back.

Thank you for acknowledging my journey and allowing me to answer the whisper of a lifetime.

Wherever this road leads, I’ll always serve others with the same passion that got me here and tell impactful stories that change lives and inspires generations.

The night no one wanted to end…🖤🤍

What an honor it was to attend and film WIPA Philly’s 2nd annual Gala! No words can describe how amazed we were at the amount of talent in the room that night. The amount of love, time, and creativity it took to all come together and create something so magical for the Philadelphia chapter is unmatched! We are just overwhelmed with gratitude to have gotten this opportunity and to work with some of the greats in the industry.

To the WIPA board, thank you. You continue to elevate this wedding and event industry. You’ve provided a space for all of us to learn and grow every year, constantly pushing the boundaries of talent and creativity.
