Liberia Secures First Win, Dominates Benin 96–38 at FIBA AfroBasket Zone 3 Qualifiers

The Liberian national basketball team delivered a stunning performance with a dominant 96–38 victory over Benin at the ongoing FIBA AfroBasket Zone 3 Qualifiers.
The game took place last evening at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Gymnasium in Paynesville.
This resounding win not only crushed Benin’s hopes of advancing but also marked a historic moment for Liberia — their first win on home soil in over 20 years.
The Zone 3 competition, designed to develop and spotlight emerging basketball talent in Africa, features three Countries: Liberia, Benin, and Ivory Coast.
Liberia’s strong showing has revived hopes for their progress to the next stage of the qualifiers.
