More than four decades ago, Jay Chitwood started serving as a volunteer firefighter with the Springhill Fire Department. One early call still stands out — a house fire where he and his crew salvaged a jewelry box containing a woman’s late mother’s keepsakes. HASKELL -- The Harmony Grove Cardinals snapped back into winning action in Week 6, taking down Genoa Central on the road 48-6.

“The running game was hitting well, all because of the offensive line,” Head Coach Josh Smith said following the game. “Even if someone is moving fronts on us, they know what to do. The running backs did well too, but we need to clean up some ball security stuff. We fumbled twice tonight and we haven’t done that all year.”
