FROM OTIS KIRK: Silverfield sticks with Jackson at quarterback as Razorbacks turn to Georgia

FAYETTEVILLE -- Ryan Silverfield held his Monday press conference following a one-sided 43-10 loss to No. 20 Utah.
Silverfield and the Razorbacks will open SEC play on Saturday with No. 2 Georgia coming to Razorback Stadium. Silverfield started Monday off talking about the review of film from Saturday’s loss.
“Obviously, after going back and watching the game from Saturday night, a ton, a ton of things to get corrected,” Silverfield said. “Starting with the offense, like we discussed postgame, the inability to run the football and the inability to beat man coverage. I think we lost a lot of one-on-one opportunities for all 11 people on offense,play-in and play-out, and the inconsistencies there certainly affect our ability to move the football defensively. Really, just struggled more than anything. 17 missed tackles, and then not being able to line up consistently and play assignment-sound football versus the option."

The Saline County Fair will close out its 2026 run today with the final night of the Saline County Fair Rodeo at the Thomas Arena on the fairgrounds.

Mutton Bustin’ will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the rodeo at 8 p.m. Admission is $15 for ages 11 and older, and children 10 and younger are admitted free.

This year’s rodeo marks the arena’s return following the January ice storm that damaged the facility. The arena’s roof was not rebuilt in time for the fair, so both nights of rodeo are being held under the open sky. A new permanent announcer’s stand also could not be completed, and temporary facilities are in use.

The arena was widened by about 20 feet during the rebuilding, giving competitors and events more room.

The Saline County Fair Association credited members, personnel from the Saline County Judge’s Office and several local companies with donating time, labor and equipment to reopen the arena in time for the fair.
