Clothing items (socks, undergarments, and t-shirts) are currently being sought for collection to be donated to the Veterans Administration office in Marion to distribute to local veterans in need. For monetary donations to help buy said items, checks can be made out to Danny Loeh, who is caretaker at the West Frankfort Veteran’s Memorial Museum. For more information or to coordinate a donation call 618-218-3634. Cutoff date is July 10.

Missing three year old!

Authorities have confirmed here is a missing three year old in West Frankfort. The child was last seen in the 200 block of W. 7th St. wearing black and green shorts. No shirt or shoes. Family member say the child’s name is Wesley and has been missing since noon. Please contact the West Frankfort Police Department at 911 with any information.
