Happy Thanksgiving to all of our readers and viewers! We are grateful for you.
One of the Media Writing students shared his perspective as a student far from home on this day. You can read Rafael's commentary here:

For many, Thanksgiving is synonymous with full tables, family laughter, and the warmth of home. For me, as an international student, this date has a different flavor, one that combines gratitude with an inescapable dose of reality. I don’t come from a country where Thanksgiving is a deep-rooted tr...

We distributed our latest print issue around campus on Thursday and Friday, but we posted some additional web exclusives on our website this week.
Enjoy a couple of different perspectives on Thanksgiving, including an insider's thoughts on participation in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.

Watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV as a kid, I’d see the balloons and celebrities and think, “I wonder what it’s like to be part of the real audience—watching it in person instead of on TV. ” In high school, I finally got the chance to find out. I performed in the parade.....

🛠 Building Dreams Together - a powerful reminder of what a comunity can achieve when it comes together. On October 10th, students, staff, and parents from NWACC partnered with the non-profit Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build 48 beds for children in Benton and Washington Counties who don't have a place to sleep.

📍 Using equipment from the college's Integrated Design Lab, volunteers turned donated materials into beds.

🌟 For the children now tucked in at night, these aren't just wood and nails - they're a safe place to learn, to grow, and to rest.
