I don't know who needs to hear this but salvation through Jesus Christ is not earned. You can't earn something that's already been given to you. All you need to do it just repent.

He endured the cross for the joy set before Him. ✝️✨ No matter what mountain you're climbing today, fix your eyes on Jesus. The empty tomb proves the victory is already won! 🙌

When the heavy stone was sealed on Saturday, everyone thought all hope was lost and the story was completely over. If you are facing a situation today that feels like a total dead end, remember that God does His greatest work in the quiet waiting. Keep holding onto faith, because your Sunday morning is coming!

Taking a step back from the usual daily grind today. Good Friday always gives me a moment to just pause and be incredibly thankful for grace and the ultimate sacrifice. Wishing you and your families a peaceful, blessed day of reflection. 🙏

God reminds you that He alone is your Savior, standing as a constant and unshakable source of rescue in every season of life. You can find deep peace knowing that you don't have to save yourself, because the Almighty is personally committed to carrying you through.

Something I learned today

Hebrew 12:2
keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

In modern English, "despise" often means to hate or feel disgust toward something. However, the original Greek word used here is kataphronēsas, which literally means "to think down upon" or "to treat as insignificant."

Jesus "despised" the shame because He refused to let the world’s attempt to humiliate Him define His value or distract Him from His mission. He viewed the social and physical disgrace of the cross as a small price to pay for the eternal joy of redeeming mankind. By treating the shame as "nothing," He stripped it of its power.

When we look at Jesus who treated the ultimate shame (the cross) as "insignificant" (despising it) for the sake of joy, our own problems begin to shrink in scale because if he considered the crucifixion a joy should we when facing our trails.

"Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying..."

No light show, no special microphone, it was just his word. Sometimes we get lost in the need for a show we miss his word.

I pray today you find yourself digging into his word and getting to know him!!
