Third Culture Tales: Stories Beyond Borders is back in Amsterdam! 🎤✨

Join us on Thursday, November 26, at the Galaxy Room, ClinkNOORD for another evening of stories, music, and connection.

Through humor, vulnerability, and personal experiences, our storytellers will take us on journeys exploring identity, migration, belonging, and the beautifully complicated experience of living between cultures.

Expect heartfelt stories, unexpected perspectives, plenty of laughter, and a room full of people brought together by the power of storytelling. 💛

Another beautiful evening of stories at Noord Space. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our latest Third Culture Tales: Stories Beyond Borders in Amsterdam.

The evening featured powerful stories from Anam Naqvi, Ashwini (“Wini”), Bilgesu, Mattia, and Nia, each sharing a unique perspective on identity, migration, belonging, and the moments that shape us.

A special thank you to Agustin for closing the night with an intimate set of original music that brought the evening to a memorable close.

To our storytellers, musicians, volunteers, and everyone who filled the room with curiosity, laughter, and generosity—thank you for making another unforgettable night possible.

The Berkeley Storytelling Festival concludes with stories that connect us beyond borders. 🌍

Join us on Sunday, September 20, for a special festival edition of Third Culture Tales—an intimate evening of true personal stories exploring migration, identity, cultural inheritance, belonging, and life between worlds.

✨ Eva Schlesinger — an artist, writer, musician, and four-time Moth StorySLAM winner known for stories filled with humor and humanity.

✨ Harriett “Dr. J” Jernigan — a Stanford lecturer, Moth GrandSLAM finalist, and founder of Berkeley’s First Person Story.

✨ Nasrin Murad — a UC Berkeley alumna sharing a personal story shaped by culture, community, and immigration.

✨ Mohammad Khodadadi — a master musician, composer, and ney player drawing from the musical and storytelling traditions of southern Iran.

✨ Shirin Towfiq — an interdisciplinary Iranian American artist exploring migration, cultural memory, and belonging.

Hosted by Vivek Venugopal, a storyteller, improviser, and facilitator whose life across Zambia, India, and the United States shapes his work.

🎤 Max Houghton — Award-winning storyteller, humorist, human-rights activist, and content creator.

🎤Anirvan Chatterjee — Berkeley storyteller and activist uncovering the city’s hidden histories and co-curator of the Berkeley South Asian Radical History Walking Tour.

🎤 Kelly Richardson — Berkeley-raised writer, documentary filmmaker, stunt performer, and Fulbright recipient.

🎤 Payman Najafpour — Business leader and supporter of Bay Area arts, culture, and creative communities.

A lifelong learner with a background spanning medicine, public health, and health economics, Wini discovered storytelling after moving to Rotterdam.
