On the evening of November 18, 1986, at approximately 5:35 PM, Anibar Sosa Longoria, a World War II veteran, was driving with his wife and son along Highway 101 in Santa Rosa, California. A brownish 1970s Monte Carlo or Buick-style vehicle with an orange vinyl top pulled up alongside them and opened fire, discharging five or six shots into their car. Anibar was fatally struck, and his wife sustained critical injuries, though she survived. Anibar's case remains unsolved. Anibar’s family continues to advocate for his case and seek justice.
