"This was across the street from the police market. These were part of the lowrider movement back in the day. They started a group called Barrio Libre before any lowrider car club popped up in Sonoma County. From there, the car clubs were formed. One of the first ones was Los Brown Angels, I think.
I’m pretty sure we were one of the first to have bylaws so the law wouldn’t harass us. We even took it to Sacramento and got it approved that we were a car club, not a gang. Mr. Molina from Windsor took care of that, and I’m pretty sure it’s still on record—you can look into it if you like.
Los Pocos Locos were also from Windsor, but they formed a little later. Other car clubs were from Healdsburg and Santa Rosa. Geyserville had another car club, but I forgot their name." - Ventura Longoria
