The Victor Company is a 125 year old legacy of sound in the studio, on stage, and in the home with Victor Records Group & Victor Studios, Victor Entertainment, HMV/Victrola® Home Audio products and musical instruments. Initially formed in Philadelphia & Camden in 1900 by Eldridge Johnson & Emile Berliner, the original Victor was not only the first record company to mass produce the disc record (as

opposed to the cylinder), but was the first company to grasp and pioneer the concept of an entire industry based on capturing music and magic in the recording studio while reproducing that same feeling at homes across the globe. became the first major record company, record label, and producer of turntables in the world. celebrates over 100 years since the birth of records and the modern music industry. The modern incarnation, formed from the ashes of the original, is a company that takes pride in its origins. The company has been brought back to the Camden, N.J. / Philadelphia area staying true to its roots. Likewise, the newly independent record label and manufacturing firm operates Victor Talking Machine Label Group, The Vault (a public archive/performing arts facility), and is a manufacturer of Victrola turntables.
