Update: We've had to scramble to have our papers printed at a different location. They have been printed and we'll pick them up tomorrow. It likely will be too late to mail subscriber copies tomorrow, but they will go out no later than Friday.

I apologize that this has happened. Being candid, I was looking into changing printers because I was concerned about something like this occurring. We are now expediting that change, and I don't anticipate any more interruptions or delays.

I'm sorry that the papers are delayed this week, and I appreciate your patience and understanding. I'm very hopeful this won't be something we experience again.

Good morning everyone,

This week's issue of the Carroll County News is being delayed because of an equipment issue with the press. At this point, we don't have a firm timeline on when the paper wlll be printed.

I apologize for the delay and for the fact that this has now happened multiple times. I will be addressing the situation to ensure that this does not continue.

For the eighth time in the past 10 years, the Carroll County News has won first place for General Excellence in its division of the Arkansas Press Association’s annual Better Newspaoer editorial contest.

This year, we shared the first-place honor with the Helena World, marking the first time in APA history that there has been a tie for first place for the General Excellence award. Congratulations to publisher Andrew Bagley and the World. We are honored to share the award with you.

In addition to the General Excellence honor, CCN and its sister newspaper, the Eureka Springs Times-Echo, earned 23 individual awards, including 11 first-place honors.

Thank you, Carroll County, for supporting local newspapers! We’ll celebrate for a day or two and then get back to work. Because what’s better than eight? Nine!
