BACK TO THE OLD SCHOOL,
BACK TO THE ROOTS !!

Hey, what's up all, you beautiful people?
This is Y.O.U.R Community coming at you with another spotlight on one of the legendary Drum-n-Bass icons, DJ Dara.

On 06/26/2021 SERJ was overflowing with Old School vibes.
With support from some amazing local DJs NDSKYZ, DJ MET, ONEDUZ, DARK ADAPTATION, & A-P.
Two artists that really stuck out to me were NDSKYZ, & ONEDUZ.
NDSKYZ has some outstanding energy.
And ONEDUZ was totally in the zone that night.

Darragh Guilfoyle, aka DJ DARA, is a pillar of the North American Drum-n-Bass community. With over 20 years of experience.
A renowned member of the Planet of the Drums crew.
Dara co-founded the nation’s first & largest drum ‘n bass record store with DB Burkeman, Breakbeat Science, in 1996.

Something that really moved me was when I watched Velocity, an online event that DARA hosted.
Watching his interview with ANDY C. is what made me want to start Y.O.U.R. Community. There were tons of other artists as well.
So if you read this DARA, thank you for being my inspiration.

There were so many nostalgic tunes played this evening.
Too many to name, the whole set was just perfect.
A few stand-out moments to mention, were ones that came towards the end of the night.
One of the Owners came up to the decks and made the motion of "It's time."
Dara made the motion of "Just one more."
Then she started dancing "Ok, 2 more...4, 5, 10 more."
Dara smiled, and it was a moment that you just had to be there.
After his set, I was waiting in line to meet him and I heard some heartfelt words from a fan.
"Hey Dara, I came all the way from Chicago just to see you. I have been following you for 10 years, and I am with you. Thank you!"

It was a remarkable night for everyone.
And I want to thank personally all the DJs and staff for putting this show together.
To the friends I made and to all those I will meet in the future.

I will be attending the Equinox Festival hosted by
T.O.U.C.H. Samadhi.

The Stanton Warriors Came Out To PLa-ay !!

Hey, what's up lovely people?
This is YOUR Community and we are coming at you with a spotlight on the Stanton Warriors. Last Friday night, 06-25-2021, at SERJ nightclub, right here in Charlotte, NC, The world-renowned Stanton Warriors brought the fire. With direct support from Aaron Sigmon, Phat Rabbit, & Mac. Along with a Patio Takeover by Big Puffy Yellow F/ Malfunkshun, and Tobi Nurotik.

The Stanton Warriors are a British DJ and production duo made up of Dominic Butler and Mark Yardley. Hailing originally from the West Country, this U.K. duo has performed internationally with their infamous Stanton Sessions parties in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. They have been doing their thing for decades, and to me, they are really inspirational.
With Dominic Butler at the helm, anything could happen. Trust and believe it went down. He was dropping tunes that left me feeling nostalgic, and many others felt the same way, I'm sure.

The Staton Warriors perform a unique genre of EDM known as BREAKS. The unique Florida style was first encountered during the late '80s inside the historic Beacham Theatre in Orlando. I personally love the style of BREAKS that the Stanton Warriors brought to the stage.

The U.K. duo has been around for over 20 years!!
Starting off in 1997 with "Headz of State EP". Leading all the way up to a release in 2019 with "Rise". Their most notable work is "Stanton Sessions Vol. 3", which was released in 2008. Their latest work is "Green Light" (Unorthodox Remix) [feat. Ami Carmine] &
"Somali Funk", Which are singles from 2020, and they are nothing to sleep on.

An unforgettable moment for me was when Dom dropped "Good Vibrations." I constantly try to find ways to share with my mother, songs that she grew up with, that have been remixed into tunes that I love. I swear ya'll, when I showed her the video of "Good Vibrations" and explained how it was a song that she grew up with, that evolved into what the Stanton Warriors made, the look on her face was indescribable. Super feels.

DieselboyThe Destroyer takes to the stage after over a year of DJ cryosleep !!

Hey, what's up beautiful people?
Yet another fantastic night for the Drum n Bass Community here in Charlotte, NC. On Saturday, June 5th, 2021 Dieselboy's performance was nothing short of incredible. With support from Joneses, paired with a patio takeover by Wanted Events. Serj was packed from the dancefloor to the exits.

Dieselboy aka Damian Higgins is an American drum and bass DJ and music producer. Hailing from Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Starting off In 1994, Dieselboy created a mixtape entitled "The Future Sound of Hardcore". Along with iconic mixes such as "DrumAndBass Selection USA", "97 Octane", "projectHUMAN",
"DJ World Series: D & B From The United States".
And trust me there are many more.

Damian stated socially that he had been saving up tunes for well over a year just for this event, and trust me he did not disappoint.
I also would like to add that I was talking to people in attendance that night, and several people said that Jonese set was unbelievable.
"I'm really proud of him, his set was fantastic." said one person, "Yeah he really killed it tonight." said another.

For me personally when he mixed "C.R.E.A.M." by Wu-Tang Clan and "I Grew Up a Screw Up", by Notorious B.IG. I lost my mind. Being from New Jersey, I love NYC Hip Hop, and for me, that was a perfect moment. So if you read this, THANK YOU !!

The real moment I want to tell you about is after the set was over.
Dieselboy took the headphones off, and Damian picked up the mic.
His words were heartfelt, emotional, and honest.
His message was this, THANK YOU
