Ridgeway, MO: The odds of a small school district hosting an exchange student for a year are low, so what are the odds of a small school district hosting three exchange students? Ridgeway Superintendent Michael Fitzpatrick found out first hand as his school was contacted by an exchange program saying they had picked two host families from the area and were sending three girls from Europe to a rural area in Midwest Missouri.--By Caleb Osmon

Bethany, MO: The South Harrison Bulldogs celebrated their homecoming Friday afternoon at the town square in Bethany. Townspeople lined the street to wish the SHHS teams continued luck during their fall season. The parade also acted as a pep rally for the football team, as their homecoming game would be played later on in the evening against Trenton.

Bethany, MO: The success of this year’s Downtown Bethany Fall Festival on Saturday was measured by the fact that all of the vendors began running out of food by the middle of the afternoon, with fans having to search for outside food sources by the time the evening entertainment began.

Bethany, MO: The South Harrison Middle School released the names of the middle school kids that made the Character Kindness Award. From the 5th Grade are Aleah Bittner, Lucien Stevens, Croy Findley, Brynlee Booth, and Ricky Martinez. From the 6th grade are Daniela Torres, Jackie Moad, Bennett Kemp, Cearstyn Eckerson, Mikierah Sunderland, and Tekaiya Doll.

Bethany, MO: In a former city hall meeting, the subject of Personal Time Off, or PTO, was brought up, with certain members of the staff questioning the actual policy. During the meeting a select few councilmen weighed in with their opinion on maintaining a PTO bank. The general consensus of the council seemed they did not approve of a banking system.

Bethany, MO: The South Harrison Cheerleaders brought back-up during the football game against Marceline. During half-time the future of South Harrison was revealed as tiny cheerleaders ran onto the field to show their school spirit. The young girls where given a chance to entertain the crowd as they performed a cheer routine along side the varsity cheerleaders.--Republican-Clipper photo
