My open letter to Hollywood, Will Smith, and Michael Bay. Make better movies that say something, mean something, and will still be watchable in three decades. I know you meant well with this movie, but sometimes, that just isn't enough.

Paul G Newton has some interesting thoughts on 1917.

1917 is an excellent film, although not a great story, but a good story none-the-less. This one-shot, one-take film is quite epic in its looks and locations, but you can see every plot device a screenwriter would ever use staring in your face.

We didn't think it was a bad film. It is just unfinished. Paul G Newton releases the end of his film, all by itself.

Making films is hard. Even with a plan, you can fail miserably. I encourage everyone to make their work public and be proud of what you have done even if it isn't as perfect as you want it to be,
