The 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is a true classic car. This model is built on a heavy-duty A-body perimeter frame, and it has a clean “Coke-bottle” shape with curved windows.
The second-generation Malibu also included federally mandated dual-master-cylinder brakes.
The front independent suspension and rear four-link coil-spring system provided a smooth ride on highways and twisted streets. The Malibu handled both the lightweight small V-8 and heavy performance engines with ease.

On top – the revolutionary 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado, which was the first mass-produced modern US car to utilize front-wheel drive (FWD) thanks to its innovative “Unified Power Package” which sent the Rocket V8 power to the front wheels.

The 1967 Pontiac GTO is the last year and the best example of the first generation of muscle cars. It was a milestone year for Pontiac engines.
The 389 was bored out to form the iconic 400. Due to a new corporate GM policy that forbade multiple-carburetor engines on mid-size cars, the popular Tri-Power was laid to rest.
A Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel (with special cylinder heads) took its place. Available as a Hardtop, Convertible, or this rare Sports Coupe (identified by the pillar between the side windows), the '67 brought the formula that would kick off the American muscle-car explosion to a well-deserved end. Classic muscle without the hype.
