YTMNDAN: That is the opposite of the truth. What you just proposed is known as an "inflation spiral" by anyone with even a basic understanding of economics. While cutting taxes can often result in increased economic activity that can likewise increase revenue, deficit spending ALWAYS increases inflation. Carter understood the latter.

Parker Tray: These people were given more opportunity than the tens of millions of kids living in homemade shacks in West Virginia and Tennessee. I have seen it first hand. The poor honest hard working people in my home state work two or three low paying jobs, and never ask for a thing from Uncle Sam. They are honest, God fearing, hard working people who are the salt of the earth unlike the leeches who have lived on handouts for multiple generations, and constantly complain and ask for more!

Erik Schneider: The Anglo-Saxons and Scots-Irish that you seem to be talking about in Appalachia, weren't and aren't forced to live there. They could've moved to cities if they wanted to.

Joe Biden gave the speech of his life last night. He was even the funny and personal guy, that Americans seem to like about him. And was in complete command of everything and perhaps everyone around him.

The dominant storyline going into Joe Biden's speech last night was could he even deliver such a long address. Like, was he physically and mentally up to it?

By any standard, he proved he was MORE than up for it. He was forceful. He was clear. He was agile on his feet (responding to Marjorie Taylor Greene's jeers).

There is NO way you could leave that speech and think that Biden is doddering or fading.
