Tryka is a student filmmaking community consisting of high school filmmakers, actors, designers, musicians and artists in the DMV area. Our mission is to make better films and filmmakers by providing a hub where opportunities, resources, education and people converge. ⭐️Our 4th Alumni speaker THE Cash Martin served as the President of Tryka for his Junior and Senior years of high school. Cash is now a Freshman at New York University Tisch School of the Arts studying Film & TV Production, and occasionally playing some hard-nose basketball.

Meet one of our final guest speakers of the year!! Ayan Alwahti served as a board member of Tryka during his senior year of high school. As a board member, he was in charge of running Shots, our monthly magazine, as well as being a founding member of the infamous post-meeting Gaga ball league. Ayan is now a sophomore in college, attending Hofstra University for filmmaking.
