When they arrive at the house on Dark Hollow Road, things quickly reveal that they're more than they seem. One strange turn after another, the case slips into otherworldly territory, where the impossible suddenly becomes possible. These revelations push against the borders of the investigators' reality and plunge them into mad situations. And they soon realize that to solve the case, they must survive the night. If you've read my novel, The Eleventh Door, or my short story, Night of the Living Fascists, this standalone book is somewhat of a crossover between those tales, yet with new characters, settings, and challenges.

If you haven't picked up your copy yet, you can still visit the patients and experience the mad stories that haunt the dark halls and decaying rooms. Today, I begin what I think will be the last chapter of my upcoming book, The House on Dark Hollow Road. The editing and formatting will take a few weeks. Then I need to set a release date. In the meantime, here's the synopsis, along with a portion of the cover art by Insan Kamil Malkavian Shubhi.

In the fall of 1890, an unlikely trio of investigators receives a most unusual assignment. The case takes them from New York City to a rural farmhouse, where a girl has died under puzzling and disturbing circumstances. As the trio interviews the family and examines the evidence, they begin to experience and witness seemingly impossible things. Together with a mysterious stranger who arrives unexpectedly in the night, they must face not only mad revelations about the universe but also a terrible threat, the likes of which they have never encountered before. Soon, they learn that the fate of the world might be in their hands. And if they survive the ordeal, they know they will never be the same.

It's taken almost two years, but my next piece of long-form fiction, The House on Dark Hollow Road, is nearing completion. Surreal noir meets cosmic horror. Cover art is in the works. More details coming very soon.
