Last week, we shared difficult news about changes at Lehigh Valley Public Media. We know this raised important questions.
Our mission and vision have not changed. We remain committed to informing, educating, and connecting the Lehigh Valley by delivering trusted local journalism, meaningful storytelling, and educational programs.
What is changing today is how we do the work. The traditional high-volume model for local media is no longer sustainable or effective. We are shifting toward a more focused approach, going deeper on fewer issues that matter most to this community.
This allows for clearer context, stronger follow-up, and information people can actually use and understand.
This is an evolving approach, and we know we won’t get everything right immediately. We are committed to listening, learning, and adjusting as we move forward, guided by the needs of this community.
Thank you for being part of the Lehigh Valley Public Media community and for continuing to engage with us as we build a more sustainable future for local media.
