12PM UPDATE:

Last gasp of heavy snow moving through Lehigh County as of noon, like I said, this should be wrapped up and out of the greater Lehigh Valley by 1 PM.

As you can see many highways are still partially snow-covered give plow crews the time they need!

Getting many reports of 5-6” across Allentown/Bethlehem area 🫡

Post your observations & current snow totals HERE!!

We are looking at this wrapping up BY 12:30PM. It's 9:45AM, which gives another 2.5 hours or so of this light to moderate snow.

Lollipop Zone with the ENHANCHED lifting was played out perfectly by the NAM/EURO model blend. Most reports I'm getting are 2-3" across the Lehigh Valley and southern Poconos right now. I anticipate we will hit those high end totals of 4-5" across much of the area.

I am going to try to get out and do a live road condition/roadside forecast here soon.

Snow moves in TWO waves Saturday morning

-Wave 1: 2AM-6AM (C-1" on the ground accumulation by 6AM)
-Wave 2: 9AM-1PM (ADDITIONAL 1-3")

I will be here in real time breaking it down as the storm goes on. Expect some sort of "break" in the action between 6AM and 9AM, short range modeling suggests a heavy period of snow around NOON Saturday, before quickly tapering. Hopefully this helps you plow guys out! Ground temps are VERY cold so this will be a full stickage event.

Leaving the window open for some Sunday afternoon snow, good chance it stays south and east BUT with the way modeling has been lately I would not be surprised to see some action Sunday. WORST case scenario IMO is another 1-2". Stay Tuned

Well, it appears winter waited for me to return home! Ive been keeping an eye on this sneaky little system and it has trended a little stronger here in the short term. I don't want to call this a boom or bust forecast, but I have a VERY hard time hedging against a NAM/EURO model lock, it's usually a proven forecast. I have one model against this forecast and it's a model thats verification score has been low, and is typically very low in the short term. There could be two overall "bursts" of snow, so don't be surprised to see a "break" in the action in the mid morning.

Lollipop Zone: Some models indicate an enhanced area of lift which could increase snowfall totals a few inches.. We will monitor in real time.
