⚕️Who should get the vaccine next? Advocates are urging the CDC to vaccinate incarcerated people alongside those in long-term care facilities.

The next phase of vaccine distribution includes first responders, critical workers and those with pre-existing conditions. The homeless, incarcerated and those who work in homeless shelters and corrections facilities are included in this group, but some advocates say they should be further prioritized for vaccine access.

Christy Rost's Molasses Mini Bundt Cakes

🍰Perfectly sized for smaller celebrations, Create TV's Christy Rost shares her recipe for individual mini-cakes that are designed to end Christmas dinner on a high note.
. . .

Molasses Mini Bundt Cakes

Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar, packed
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup molasses
1 egg
1 ¼ cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¾ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cloves
¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
½ cup milk
6-mold mini-Bundt cake pan

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In the large bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter with sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add molasses and egg, and beat well.

In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg. Gradually add the flour mixture, alternately with the milk, to the creamed mixture to form a thick batter.

Spray mini-Bundt cake molds with nonstick cooking spray with flour. Spoon the batter into the molds, filling each half full. Bake 20 to 22 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the cakes comes out clean. Remove the pan from the oven and cool 25 minutes. Place a rack over the pan, turn it over, and tap the bottom of each mold to release the cakes. Cool cakes completely.

Yield: 6 mini Bundt cakes

Our Story

PBS39 (WLVT-TV) is more than just Sesame Street and Arthur. We are a 50-year young non-profit located 90 minutes from Manhattan and 60 minutes from Philadelphia in the rapidly growing Greater Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.

While our broadcast signal reaches 12.4M from upstate New York to Cecil County, MD and from Staten Island, NY to Harrisburg, PA, our focus is on the counties that make up the Greater Lehigh Valley and their 3M+ residents.

In 2018 we launched our flagship PBS39 News Tonight which airs at 6:30 and 11pm and which has returned local news journalism to what had been a growing news desert. In addition to news, we produce weekly programs including Counter Culture, Your Take and a Spanish language show, Es Tiempo Lehigh Valley plus assorted special events and documentaries.

We host weekly free educational programs at our station in Bethlehem. We are active in literacy education through our involvement in Lehigh Valley Reads.

I have appreciated PBS for over 50 years. But my ancestors left "the european continent" over 300 years ago. I've watched for many years and am now at a point of only tolerating for a few seconds the "european (intentionally lower case "e") soap operas and comedies that PBS39 continues to broadcast. I don't relate to them and I will discourage my children and grandchildren to watch this station. You can do better relating to YOUR public in THIS time and THIS place.
