Gutted to hear about .hq and LISS. Incredible experience recording a music video there as well as help manage THQ’s social media channels. Nobody deserves this less than and who have gone above and beyond creating a space to support artists of all kinds. I’ve been going to LISS to rehearse with my band and see other close friends play out there since 2008. What a terrible blow to the Long Island music scene. There’s a gofundme page up for .hq Please donate today. REPOST: Last night, a fire broke out in the business next door. The fire department cut into our building and hosed down the roof to prevent the fire from spreading to the rest of the structure, leaving us with significant water and smoke damage.
As a result, we’ll be closed indefinitely. All bookings on the calendar will be refunded and processed within the next 48 hours.
There are a lot of unknowns right now, as we’re at the mercy of our landlord, insurance, and other parties to figure out what comes next. We’re not sure yet if we’ll be able to rebuild here or if we’ll need to find a new location.
What we do know is that we’re incredibly honored to have been a place for creatives for the past three years. We’ve started a GoFundMe to help us continue our mission.
