As reporters, we're usually the ones asking the questions.

During an interview at his annual golf outing, Jets legend Marty Lyons unexpectedly turned the conversation around and thanked News 12 for its ongoing commitment to nonprofits and charitable organizations across Long Island.

The real credit belongs to Marty, the Marty Lyons Foundation, and the countless people who work year-round to make a difference in the lives of children and families.

Thank you for the kind words, Marty.

"I am honored to share the stories that make Long Island stronger. Thank you, Marty."
