I’ve been away from social media for a while. Last year, I lost my father, and the pain shook me to my core. Losing someone you love feels so final, so unreal. He faced his illness with incredible positivity, and I had hoped my kids would grow up with him, to know his warmth, his wisdom, his love.
Yesterday, I spent the day at the ballpark with my three kids, watching a game and fireworks. Carrying a baby and two toddlers through a crowded, sold-out stadium was exhausting, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Life is made of these moments, these memories. The memories of my father keep him alive in me, and the memories I’m creating with my kids will live on in them.
I will do videos again one day when it feels right. I need to make the videos when I am stable emotionally and mentally again. Losing my father and other family illnesses has hurt me a lot. I started questioning why we’re here and what we are doing. I think losing a parent makes you realize how short life is and that our mortality is inevitable. The comfort of life and knowing it will always be there fades and you realize time is really the most precious thing we have.
I love you all. I know so many of you have lost ones you love and struggled with health issues that have left you lost and searching for hope. That’s why I did the videos. In part it was to get everyone to see how easy and affordable it is to eat healthy and in part it was to create a community where we never felt alone. We always have each other ❤️
