Having a daughter is one of the greatest blessings of my life…
But it’s also one of the scariest.
Because I look at her and see so much light, so much softness, so much trust in a world I know can be cruel.
And I never want her to hurt like I have.
I never want her to carry the kind of pain that changes you.
I never want her to question her worth or feel like she’s not enough.
I wish I could wrap her in a bubble, shield her from heartbreak, protect that innocence forever.
But I know I can’t.
So instead— I’ll teach her.
I’ll pour love into her until it becomes her foundation.
I’ll remind her who she is, even when the world tries to tell her otherwise.
I’ll be the safe place she can always run to.
I can’t stop the world from hurting her…
But I can make sure she never faces it alone.❤
