And the Emmy® goes to… Metropolis Media.

Our team flew to the red carpet night to simply celebrate our Emmy® nominations, not thinking any more of it. We felt like imposters just being there up against PBS, FOX, ABC - our documentary had zero chance.
We were wrong.
With our families watching the broadcast live around the world, we won BOTH categories we were nominated for. We collectively won Best Documentary short (Environmental/Science) and Best Cinematography in a Documentary (Short or Long Form).
A huge thank you to the Academy and the PNW judges for this incredible recognition. Our client and fellow producers and from .priorities for trusting the Metropolis Team to tell the Owyhee Canyonlands story. Our stars Tim, Karly, Wilson, and Julie. And our whole team at including our rockstar senior editor .steven

We are so humbled to be honored with these statues and this will be one of the most surreal and memorable nights of our lives. 🙏🏼👊🏼🏆

We’re absolutely humbled and speechless to receive the news of two Emmy nominations this morning.

A massive thank you to our entire production team at Metropolis Media including senior editor Steven Aguilera, our partners CWP and Rally, in particular Lauren Bogard, Kate Groetzinger, Sterling Homard and Leo Wallach. And to the ONDA team on the ground Tim Davis, Wilson WeWa, Karly Foster & Julie Weikel. Without all of your hard work, collaboration and trust in Metropolis bringing the Postcards series to life, none of the would be possible.

Owyhee Canyonlands really has become “the little documentary that could.” A short and simple documentary, yet with such an important message that was unbelievably challenging to film in such remote locations. We had no cell phone service for several days with locations not even accessible by vehicle. This acknowledgement means the world to us.

And lastly, thank you to the Academy (NATAS) Northwest judges for seeing value in our storytelling. You’re validating to us all that short environmental documentaries with a voice really can make a difference. We’re looking forward to flying into Seattle, Washington and having a blast with you all at the big awards red carpet gala coming up in June! 🙏🏼🍾🏆

Now streaming on and CW / Roku in the U.S! New Series I was Producer on for the Pacific Northwest / USA film unit. The show is filmed in QLD Australia but ‘set’ in Washington State, USA. The team at team filmed all over Seattle and the outlaying towns to help put the puzzle together.
