I think Sydney Sweeney’s ad says less about her and much more about society as a whole.
Women can be talented, disciplined, intelligent, and accomplished, yet somehow the conversation always finds its way back to their bodies and s*x appeal. In a world full of men using s*x to sell, we have the opportunity to be role models for the younger generation and show girls that fitness should be about becoming the strongest, healthiest, most confident version of themselves... not shaping themselves into whatever is most appealing to the male eye. Young girls deserve to grow up seeing women celebrated for what their bodies can do, not just how they look. Maybe the problem isn’t women showing their bodies; it’s a society that struggles to see women as more than them.
