Marathon SPCA PET OF THE WEEK

Meet Marco Pierre! This adorable kitten was rescued by Good Samaritans after he was found in the engine of a car in Key Colony Beach! The frightened little kitten was scared and alone, but luckily they had not started the car yet and he was not injured. At only 1.5 pounds and completely alone we placed Marco with a loving foster home. There Marco learned that he was safe and blossomed into a perfectly healthy kitten, playfully teasing his foster mom's dog and cat, and spending his nights sleeping with her son. Now it's time to find this little kitty, his first, and forever home. Since Marco is in foster and not at our Marathon Campus, the first step to adoption is to visit us online at https://fkspca.org/adopt/adopt-a-cat/ to complete an application. Once received, an adoption counselor will contact you with the next steps and make arrangements to meet.

Key West: SPCA PETS OF THE WEEK
We wanted to share an update on the group of 15 dogs that recently came to the Florida Keys SPCA from a heartbreaking hoarding situation.

When these dogs arrived, many had never known the care, attention, and love that every pet deserves. Since then, they've been receiving medical care, nutritious food, and, most importantly, the chance to learn that people can be kind.

We're thrilled to report that 12 of the 15 dogs have already found loving homes. That leaves just three dogs still waiting for their happily ever after: Coco, Seraphina, and Amora.

Seraphina is a sweet little mixed-breed girl who can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but with patience and kindness she truly blossoms. Once she trusts you, she'll love you deeply. Her adorable underbite and gentle personality make her impossible not to adore, and she's ready to find a family willing to give her the chance she's been waiting for.

Coco is a beautiful brindle girl with a gentle spirit. She's learning every day that the world can be a safe and loving place. As her confidence grows, her sweet personality shines through. Coco is looking for a patient family who will help her continue her journey and show her what it means to be cherished.

And then there's Amora, whose name means love—and it couldn't suit her better. Despite coming from a situation where she didn't receive the care she deserved, Amora has a heart full of affection. She greets our staff warmly, leans in for cuddles, and is incredibly grateful for every bit of kindness she receives. She reminds us every day just how powerful a second chance can be.

These three dogs have come so far, and now they need families of their own to complete their journey.
