Stamping Trails

Stamping Trails Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator/Owner of StampingTrails Hello, I’m Lisa Maynard, founder, and owner of Stamping Trails. I’m so glad you stopped by.

I’d like to share a little bit about myself. My husband of 27 years, Joe, and I live in Billings, Montana. Our two grown daughters are attending college and professional school which officially makes us empty nesters. Well, almost empty nesters as we’ve gladly taken on the role of grandparents to our grand-dog Thatcher, a Mini Australian Shepherd. We also own a cabin on the banks of the Stillwater

River near Nye, Montana. As a native Montanan, this is the perfect spot to continue enjoying all the outdoor activities I relished as a kid – hiking, fishing, and whitewater rafting. At the end of the day, we typically lounge on the deck under the canopy of a star-lit sky and embrace the murmur of the river. Although I take great pleasure in being outdoors, crafting is where my heart is. Over the course of 30+ years, I’ve ventured down a variety of crafting trails including cross-stitching, fabric stenciling, small stints at knitting, and sewing – it might be safe to say that I’m not a newbie by any means. For the past 25 years, my chosen path has been decorative painting. About two years ago I came upon another byway – paper crafting - through a good friend in my decorative painting group. After I saw the adorable cards she had created, a desire was stirred in me to give paper crafting a go as I have such fond memories of making and playing with paper dolls as a child. I came across Stampin’ Up! and my upline on Pinterest if you can believe it! I soon fell in love with card making and all the products involved with it; the assorted paper, the chromatic ink, the gadgets, the bling. But most importantly, I envisioned the sentiments that are yet to be written inside and that fills me up with such joy. Taking ordinary products like stamps, ink, and paper and creating an extraordinary piece of art is incredibly fulfilling. I love creating and sharing that joy and this journey I’m on with others, one card at a time. If you are interested in learning more about cardmaking, papercrafts, and Stampin’ Up! drop me a note. I would be more than happy to be your Demonstrator; to help you explore and discover new adventures in paper crafting.

Did you catch my live last night? We dove into the Calm & Bright Kit — and despite a few technical hiccups, we made it through! This kit truly captures the warmth of home and the quiet magic of Christmas. The clean, simple design style paired with a soft, serene color palette makes these cards feel peaceful and elegant. I love how the neutral bases and intricate die-cuts — tiny houses, holly leaves, and banners — come together to create such calm, timeless scenes. Stamped sentiments like “From Our House to Yours” and “All is Calm, All is Bright” add that heartfelt finishing touch to each card.

If you missed the live, you can still watch the replay and craft along with me here on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1GrGSFbzp7/or here on my Youtube Channel: https://youtu.be/syhav8Woqdk — it’s a wonderful way to get into the cozy Christmas spirit! 🎄

Here are the remaining five cards I created over the weekend using the Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Specialty Cards and Envelopes, the Christmas Tags & More DSP, and the Greetings for You Ephemera Pack (love that these are peel-and-stick!).

To make all 10 cards, I used less than half a pack of the Christmas Tags & More DSP and even less of the ephemera pack — you could easily get so many more cards from just one pack of each! And here’s a little hint… I even made a banner with some of the leftover pieces! 😉

I spent the weekend crafting and creating these cheerful Christmas cards! I got my inspiration from a fellow demo and had so much fun putting my own spin on them.

I used the Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Specialty Cards and Envelopes, the Christmas Tags & More DSP, and the Greetings for You Ephemera Pack—which are peel-and-stick (so easy and fun to use!). Each package makes 10 cards, and these are just the first five! Stay tuned—I’ll be sharing the other five tomorrow! 🎁❤️

I’ve been busy this weekend crafting and creating! There were so many projects I wanted to dive into — the Traditions of Christmas craft class from Stampin’ Up!, some festive cards using the Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Specialty Cards and Envelopes (paired with the Christmas Tags & More DSP), and even a holiday banner inspired by a fellow demo using the Party Banner Dies and Party Alphabet Dies.

The list goes on — and my craft table definitely shows it! Stay tuned this week to see what I accomplished and how all these festive pieces came together.

This was the fourth and final card we made at this past weekend’s workshop — and what a beauty to wrap things up with! We used the Autumn Trees Bundle paired with the Autumn Toile DSP, and I have to say, I’m really loving this bundle.

The delicate die-cut tree and sweet woodland scene add so much depth and detail, while the soft neutral tones keep it classic and elegant. It’s the perfect birthday card for nature lovers or anyone who appreciates the simple beauty of fall.

This was the third card we made during this past weekend’s workshop — and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites! It was CASE’d from a fellow demonstrator and features the Amber Autumn Bundle paired with the Autumn Toile DSP.

I love how the rich fall tones and detailed pumpkin image capture the cozy feeling of the season. The mix of textures and patterns gives it that perfect warm, layered look — just right for sending a little gratitude to someone special.

Here’s the second card we made at this past weekend’s workshop — CASE’d from a fellow demonstrator and created with the Charming Day Suite. I just love how the mix of floral DSP, stitched layers, and that pop of color in the die-cut rose all come together!

We finished it off with a touch of textured ribbon and soft embellishments for a sweet, polished look. This one’s perfect for letting someone know how much you appreciate them.
