Starting March 16th, 2026, the intersection of Central Ave. and N. 48th St. W will be completely CLOSED to through traffic for 50 calendar days to May 5th to facilitate the widening of the roadway and the addition of traffic signals. Local traffic for businesses and
homeowners will be accommodated. Please use alternate routes.

US-212 Beartooth Highway will be CLOSED Friday, October 3 @ 12:00 PM due to forecasted winter weather. Maintenance crews will assess conditions the week of October 6 and determine if the road will reopen. The road will be CLOSED at Vista Point through Wyoming.

Gabel Rd is closed from Zoo Dr. to Broso Park Dr. and Pierce Parkway is closed or one block off of Zoo Dr. until 9-30-25. Drivers will need to find alternate routes. Shoulder work will consist of electrical and wall construction. Expect lane shifts with bridge work on Zoo Dr. Interchange. Expect ramp congestion and delays during peak travel periods.

Beginning Monday, September 8th, Monad Rd will be closed from Daniel St. to S 24th St W. from 7 AM–7 PM daily for milling and paving. No parking on Monad between S 19th to S 24th during work hours. Vehicles/trailers blocking the street will be towed at the contractor's expense. Please expect delays & use alternate routes. Local access will be limited but maintained. That work will go through Thursday, September 11th.

Be aware that Zimmerman Trail will be CLOSED for 3 days Tuesday, 8/19 @ 8:15 am to Thursday, 8/21 @ 5 pm for important road repairs and stormwater drainage improvements. For everyone’s safety, the entire road will be closed to all traffic while work is underway, both on the road and along the edges. There will also be a short closure the following week to apply a protective spray sealant.

STARTING SUNDAY NIGHT 8/17/25 THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT 8/27/25, Knife River will perform the second phase of work on King Ave W between 24th St W and 29th St W.
The second phase of this project is milling and paving the entire King Ave roadway between 24th St W and 29th St W. Work will be nightly Sunday through Friday from 7pm to 7am. 8/17 to 8/27.
Expect modified two-way traffic. Lanes opened/closed will vary throughout construction.
Roadway surface will be milled/grooved/rough. Expect delays. Plan for and use alternate routes.

Starting Monday August 4th, Hesper Rd will be CLOSED between Shiloh Rd and 48th St W for a whole lot of utility work. The work includes utility relocation, deep road excavation, reservoir supply and drain installation, stormwater drain installation, pedestrian and reservoir equalization box culverts, etc. This work is critical to the $68 million new water plant and reservoir project. That work should conclude by Thanksgiving (November 27) and Hesper Rd will REOPEN then.

Two-Way Traffic is NOW Active on 2nd Ave N & 3rd Ave N.
Look both ways and watch for new signs and double-yellow pavement markings.
Montana Avenue, 1st Avenue North, 4th Avenue North, and 6th Avenue North are remaining one-way streets.

Beginning Monday August 4th thru approximately August 22nd Knife River will be performing multiple phase of work along Broadwater Ave between 11 St w and 16th St W. The first phase – Milling and Paving will begin approximately 8/4/25 thru 8/12/24. This is daytime work and will involve single lane closures.
The second phase is manhole work starting approximately 8/12/25 thru 8/22/25. Daytime work with lane closures. Expect modified two-way traffic. Lanes opened/closed will vary throughout construction. Expect delays. Plan for and use alternate routes.

07/29/2025

Beginning as early as Thursday July 31st thru approximately August 31st Knife River will be performing multiple phase of work along King Ave W between 24th St W and 29th St W. The first phase is sidewalk improvements starting approximately 7/31/25. This is daytime work and will involve single lane closures both west bound and east bound. The second phase is milling and paving entire roadway starting approximately Sunday night 8/17/25.
This work is nighttime work between 7pm and 7am. The third phase is manhole work starting approximately 8/27/25 thru 9/3/25. Daytime work with lane lane closures. Expect modified two-way traffic. Lanes opened/closed will vary throughout construction.
Expect delays. Plan for and use alternate routes.

07/25/2025

Beginning on July 30th, crews will be performing a watermain rehab on Grand Ave and 1st W and Grand Ave and 2nd St W. During construction Grand Ave will have a lane push to the south with single lane traffic in both directions. Expect backups and delays in that area. All local and business access will be maintained.

Beginning July 14th, crews will be doing watermain work on Grand Ave. between Virginia Lane and 3rd St W. Lanes will be shifted on Grand Ave. Expect backups and delays in that area. All local and
business access will be maintained. That work will go through July 16th.
