Just went to Sonic and handed the cashier a $100 bill. She sets it on the counter, pulls out her marker, draws a line, then looks up all serious and says, “Sir, I can’t take this—it’s counterfeit. That dark line means it’s fake.”
I said, “This came straight from the bank.”
She hands it back, so I give her another $100. Same routine—sets it down, marks it, and goes, “Yep, this one’s fake too. We might need to call the police.”
At this point I’m like, “WOW. Both of them are fake?!”
Then it hit me, and I asked the only question that mattered:
“Ma’am… are you using a Sharpie?”
She stares at the marker for a solid five seconds…
“Yes sir. I am.”
Our society is doomed. 🤦♂️
