‼️ UPDATE 2 - All Classes and activities will be cancelled for Senior High students tomorrow, January 14th.

UPDATE - According to the BPD: all parties involved have been located and there is currently no threat to the public in relation to this incident. Grand Avenue is also reopened to traffic.

BREAKING: We are getting reports of a confirmed stabbing at Senior High School with multiple victims. There is a large law enforcement presence in the area including SWAT.

- Nobody is being allowed in or out of the school right now.

- There was a wrestling match at the school this evening.

Please avoid the area.

Adoptions are now open for the 21st Annual Santa Claus For A Cause! Over the last two decades we have helped over 1000 families experience a little holiday joy and we have another 70 families we’d like to help this year!

It’s that time of year again! We’re thrilled to announce this year’s Portraits for a Cause on November 23rd, 2025, hosted at AutoResource (1525 First Avenue North) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We know that times are tough for everyone right now, so not only is this event raising money for charity, but we also want to make it very affordable for people to get a great family photo! 📸

• $20 for each additional photo

UPDATE: Because Mother Nature is unpredictable, it’s hard to tell if the aurora will show tonight. The cloud coverage combined with changing solar storm conditions, means that it might not be optimal viewing in the Billings area. We will try to keep you updated if things change!

We tried posting this picture last night when the northern lights started showing up, but Facebook banned us 😞

No worries though, there will be another show tonight it seems, and it could be bigger than last night! For the best views of the Aurora Borealis, get away from the city lights! Our advice is to head out towards Acton or on Highway 87 towards Roundup!

Nominations are now open for the 21st Annual Santa Claus For A Cause. The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, November 21 @ 5pm. We cannot accept any nominations after this time.

If you or someone you know has had a rough year, nominate them now! This program isn’t for people looking for a bigger Christmas, but for families who are likely to have no Christmas at all. We also ask that nominations are for families in a reasonably proximity to Billings.

Your nomination is confidential and will only be seen by our small selection committee. We know that there is a lot of sensitive information in your nomination, so we want to ensure you that your story will remain private.

Please fill out the form in as much detail as possible! Please double check your nomination before submitting. Incomplete forms or any lacking details will likely be discarded. Unfortunately, not all families can be selected. Selected families will be notified by December 5.
