Back-to-back quarters from 1965 and 1966… are you kidding me?! 😭 Talk about a heartbreaking coin spill!

We hit an old campground on our road trip north last weekend, and the machine was absolutely screaming. I dug the first plug and uncovered a beautiful 1966 quarter, followed immediately by a 1965 in the very next scoop.

Missed the silver cutoff by a single year on both. Fun finds, but man… silver is still dodging me! One of these campground hunts it’s going to drop, and I want you here when it happens. Have you ever been teased by a '65 coin spill like this? Let me know your closest silver miss in the comments! 👇

Big moment today — after 8.5 months of detecting, I finally dug my first silver coin. Hit my first permission over lunch and pulled a 1946 wheat penny followed up soon with a 1935 Mercury dime.The live dig video will be posted this weekend. I’m not going to pretend I played it cool — I almost shed a tear. You’ll hear every bit of that emotion when the live dig video drops this weekend. Fellow detectorists what was your first silver?

Back at the campground and the detector didn’t disappoint — pulled a 1966 dime shining in the dirt! Still chasing that first true silver, but this one’s got me feeling close. The hunt’s heating up, and I’m bringing you along for every beep, dig, and surprise.

There is something so peaceful about how nature has embraced the Zortman Cemetery. Tucked away in the mountains among towering pines and blooming lilac bushes, it’s one of the most serene places I’ve ever visited.
