We provide professional development and engagement opportunities for public relations, communication, and business professionals in Coastal Mississippi.

Members of the Mississippi Beach chapter of PRAM are also members of the Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF), which brings Mississippi public relations practitioners together with others in Alabama, Louisiana, and the Emerald Coast of the Florida Panhandle. Our chapter serves the coastal Mississippi counties of Harrison and Hancock. In addition to the professional development aspect of attending meetings and joining the chapter is the invaluable networking opportunities that come with meeting people who do very similar things in very different organizations — and all this for a modest annual membership fee of $70. We invite you to attend one of our meetings and see for yourself why the best public relations practitioners in Mississippi belong to PRAM. All meetings are scheduled to take place from noon to 1 p.m. the second Monday of each month at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Hospitality Resort Management Center, and only cost $15 to attend for members, $25 for non-members and free for first time guests. Reservations are not required.

Be sure to save the date for our October program featuring Mississippi's favorite cartoonist, Marshall Ramsey! 🙌

Marshall is the Director of the Mississippi Media Lab and the Director of Engagement for the Jordan Center at the School of Journalism and New Media at the University of Mississippi. He’s also a two-time Pulitzer Finalist (2002 and 2006), a 2022 Southeastern Emmy winner, and his editorial cartoons are syndicated nationally by Creators Syndicate.

A cancer survivor, Marshall also has been honored by both the Melanoma Research Foundation and the American Cancer Society for paying his survival forward. He actively promotes skin cancer awareness and sun safety through cartoons, speeches, skin screenings and a 5K race.

Today is for us! 🥳

Happy World PR Day to all the PR pros out there. Sure, “public relations professional” might be our formal title, but we know all about the many *other* titles we carry - social media star, photo fanatic, crisis consoler, media relations master, and all-around workplace hero. 💪

“Let’s get a picture!” is ingrained in our vocabulary. We might spend an entire hour perfecting a 200 character X post. And nothing makes us happier than seeing the media picked up our story, and now it’s trending everywhere. 👏

We are brand builders. We are storytellers. We are connectors. And we truly love it all.
