Exciting news! šŸ—žļøšŸ¤©

Most people know me as a weekend reporterā€¦ but on Mondays and Tuesdays, Iā€™m behind the scenes producing the 6:30 p.m. newscast!

What does that mean? Reporters focus on individual stories ā€” they go out, gather interviews and video, then write and edit their piece. Producers, on the other hand, build the entire show ā€” deciding story order, writing transitions, editing scripts, and making sure everything flows smoothly for the anchor to read.

Itā€™s a different side of news, and Iā€™ve loved learning both roles. Some days, Iā€™ve even produced the show and reported in it ā€” playing my own package! Those days are extremely busy but equally as exciting.

BUT tonightā€™s extra specialā€¦ Itā€™s my FIRST day behind the anchor desk. šŸ„° Iā€™ll be anchoring the 6:30 show that I produced myself!

Iā€™m SO excited for this opportunity that will help me grow both on and off camera. šŸ’»šŸŽ¤šŸ“ŗ

I went deep sea fishing for the first time last week and now that Iā€™m back, Iā€™ve been covering fishing stories all day. I guess you can say Iā€™m hooked. šŸ˜‰šŸŽ£
