You can’t control the weather on your wedding day, but you can decide what to do with it.

Abbie and Nick had been partying through a seriously hot day, and shortly after hora loca kicked off, they jumped onstage with our CO2 cannons and blasted the dance floor right on the drop.

The effect is ridiculous in the best way. It gives everyone something to rally around, puts the couple right in the middle of the action, and on a 90° day, that freezing blast of CO2 felt especially good.

There’s also more prep behind it than you’d ever know from watching this clip. The cylinders have to be taken to an industrial gas supplier and filled before the wedding, and we plan the song and timing so the blast actually lands where it should.

That’s why we like extras like this. They’re not just there to look cool. Used at the right moment, they can completely change the energy of the party.

You don’t need a “standard” last song just because everyone else uses one. From the first song to the very last, or in this case, the penultimate anthem medley, your wedding should feel unmistakably YOU!

That only happens if your DJ has actually listened to what you care about.

Emily wanted the final stretch of the night to be packed with the songs she loves most, so we built around that instead of forcing her into some standard “last song” formula.

This moment is one piece of that plan, and the reaction tells you whether it worked.

That’s the job.

Figuring out what you want, then knowing how to get you there.

You probably won’t see “load-bearing capacity” on the list of things to consider when choosing your wedding chairs.

Maybe you should.

Emily and Colby’s guests decided the best place for the newlyweds was above the dance floor.

That was not part of the plan.

It was, however, an excellent use of a chair.

Pretty chairs are great. Sturdy enough for surprise bride duty is better.

Kipper is usually known for deep concentration and focus behind the booth.

Usually.

Then ABBA comes on.

Meg and Brian’s dance floor was already going strong, and apparently that was all the invitation Kipper needed to start contributing choreography nobody asked for.

Excellent song choice.

You want the day that you’ll still call the best day years from now.

Tia and Randolph’s wedding at the Omni Grove Park Inn moved through some of the venue’s best spaces without ever losing the mountain setting that made the day feel so special.

Their ceremony took place on the Mountain View Terrace with the Blue Ridge Mountains behind them. Cocktail hour stayed outside. Dinner moved into the adjacent Skyline Room. Then everyone headed back onto the terrace to dance beneath the covered portico.

It was a beautiful way to let each part of the celebration feel distinct while still keeping the whole day connected.

Ryan provided ceremony sound along with DJ and MC services throughout the celebration, from the ceremony cues through the final stretch of dancing outside.

If you’re planning an Asheville wedding and want a day that feels memorable from the ceremony all the way through the dance floor, this is a pretty great example of what that can look like.

You don’t have to be planning a wedding to bring us in.

UNCA hired Remix for a student night with black light mini golf, and we built a clean setup that worked beautifully with the event.

That is a big part of what makes Remix different.

Our DJs are award-winning DJs first.

Weddings are one place you can hire us.

College events, corporate events, private parties, and plenty of other celebrations are too.

Different event.

Different crowd.

Same level of care.

You give us something different, we’re not showing up the same way.

UNCA asked us to handle music for a mini glow golf student night.

So we had a little fun with it.

Nothing outrageous.

Just a clean setup that fit the moment and looked damn good doing it.

Also, a reminder that we do a whole lot more than weddings.

College events, corporate events, private parties, whatever you’ve got.

Meg and Brian trusted us with a celebration that had to bring a lot together.

Different traditions.

Different generations.

Different musical references.

A baraat.

Live dhol.

Indian and Western music sharing the same night.

And by the final song, this was still happening.

Meg and Brian in the air.

Everyone around them screaming.

The dhol still going.

No sign that anybody was ready to be done.

That is the part we are most grateful for.

When you invite us into a multicultural wedding, you are trusting us with more than a playlist.

You are trusting us to understand what matters.

What belongs.

What needs space.

What can be blended.

What should stand on its own.

And how to make the whole celebration still feel like you.

Meg and Brian gave us that trust, and their families and friends gave us everything right back.

The little nod at the end says the rest.

We knew.

They knew.

And we are very thankful we got to be part of it.
